An Update on the growth of the vines

I just wanted to give you a brief update on the growth of the vines that are growing here.

Last year's vines - only 3 out of 7 have not come out of the grow tubes. They are between 1/2 way and 3/4 way up inside the tubes. The others are between 4 and 10 inches above the top of the grow tubes.

This year's vines - 20 out of 100 vines are between 1 and 12 inches above the top of the 30 inch tall grow tubes. Of the remainder - 65-70 are 3/4 way up the grow tube and the rest are approaching the 1/2 way mark or are between 1/2 and 3/4 way up.

One vine does not have leaves on it. I don't know which variety it is - will post later on which variety that is.. I am hoping it will also produce leaves.

All vines are getting 1.50-2 gallons of water each every 4 days. They are all getting plenty of sun. I hope to have the drip line system up by August of this year.

This survey was done one week ago. Yesterday's survey (6-16-07) showed another 5 vines sticking their heads up thru the top of the grow tubes.

They are coming slowly along. I will have update photos this week.

See Ya!
